The “Green” Social Work Education Caucus is a new initiative and was established at the CASWE-ACFTS AGM in June 2024. The Co-chairs of the Green Causus  is Sue-Ann MacDonald and Leah Douglas.

Spearheaded by the research and advocacy of CASWE-ACFTS founding members and the 2021 CASWE-ACFTS Accreditation Standards, our priorities include promoting environmental justice and eco-social work within the Association’s work. Members include social work faculty and students, and we invite participation from anyone and everyone interested.

The “Green” Social Work Education Caucus is committed to challenging environmental injustice and oppression through decolonial, intersectional approaches to eco-social work and we are currently developping our Terms of Reference and action plan for the year.
