If you are interested in working with the contradictions in social work and finding innovative responses that are socially transformative, you should attend this book launch. We are incredibly proud and excited to launch this volume on Radical, Ethical Social Work. This book offers a novel theorization of radical, ethical social work, noting that existing theories do not intentionally bring together these diverse concepts. The 30 chapters also highlight how to apply the radical and the ethical in social work practice, despite the tensions between these two constructs. The international contributors (several of whom will be presenting) thus offer practical strategies for addressing polarisation in social work, getting to grips with structural and systemic oppressions and maintaining an inclusive, respectful stance.
