As we mark National Social Work Month 2026, we join our colleagues at the Canadian Association of Social Workers and the Canadian Council of Social Work Regulators in celebrating 100 years of organized and professional social work in Canada.
In a context shaped by ongoing social, economic, and climate-related crises, as well as persistent realities of racism, colonialism, and exclusion, the role of social work remains vital. Through ethical leadership, advocacy, and solidarity, social workers strengthen professional integrity, promote equity, and build bridges across communities.
During National Social Work Month, we express our deep appreciation to those who live these values every day. United across the pillars of the profession, we remain committed to preparing future generations and shaping a more just, inclusive, and hopeful future for all.
